His name is Biggin, and he stands at the restaurant next door to where we live. He is 24 feet tall and was carved in 1907 from a Douglas Fir that was 460 years old!
When we first got to town it was dark out and I thought the sign said, The Hungry Blogger. :) It's actually called The Hungry Logger, and although it is currently closed it will be opening again soon. Hopefully we will be eating again by then. We're doing a Master Cleanse!
Hello Ken and Jen. Joy R. here from J.R.LIGGETT'S Soapbox News... just wanted to thank you for sharing your story on the newsletter. So sorry for your loss of Alex--such a beautiful little girl! I enjoyed viewing your photos of the area you live in. Hey, Simon is such a brave doggie--taking a chance there on that over-look! Best to you both.
ReplyDeleteHi Joy...
ReplyDeleteSorry it took me so long to respond. For some reason blogger isn't sending me notifications when I receive comments.
Thank you for your kind words. Losing Alex has been such a difficult path for me to be on, but helping others through it helps me. Our ride was nothing short of incredible and it helped me to heal so much.
Simon is such a great little dog. He changed so much on our trip, just like his owners!
